Friday Favorites

Friday is a favorite in itself, especially if there’s a holiday on Monday..thank you Columbus. I took of Tuesday and we are headed to Asheville tomorrow to be a cute, touristy, married couple. I’ve already scoped out all the good places to eat and hike..maybe shop too but I left that off the itinerary I handed to my husband. Before I take off I wanted to share some of my favorite things right now (besides these bridal lash extensions) they are of course….all food related.

1.William and Sonoma Burger Mix

We loooove burgers. I mean really love them. When everyone is going out to fancy dinners on valentines day, birthdays, etc I’m just on yelp searching for any new burger places that may have popped up. Truthfully though, in the last year we’ve really perfected our at home burger game, thanks to this stuff. You just need a little bit, we use extra lean ground beef and they’re so flavorful and juicy.

2.William and Sonoma Spice Variety Pack

All of W&S rubs and spices are delicious, I was having a hard time deciding which to share with you, but then I remembered they offer these mini canisters so you can try several! It’s hard to pick a favorite but I really love the chili garlic! I also really love shopping at William and Sonoma, especially in the fall…9 times out of 10 you walk in there and they’re baking pumpkin something and offering it up with a smile. I hate watching cooking shows where at then end they start passing the food around to the audience, and you’re just sitting on your sofa trying to figure out if you have all 50 ingredients to make what you’re now watching everyone eat.

3. Spaghetti Squash

Last year I hated this. I think it’s because most recipes using it were some variation of spaghetti and I despise italian food. We’re cool now though, once I figured out how much I could eat for very few calories, I had to give it a second chance. If you haven’t tried the twice baked spaghetti squash recipe I sent out, you should make that tonight…I mean it has bacon in it.

4. VitaCake

I discovered these a loooong time ago. I kind of forgot about them until I was at my moms and saw them in her freezer. If you love chocolate, you must try these! Only 50 calories so you have have some ice cream on the side, maybe top it with some peanut butter? now we’re talking. Find them in the freezer section within the “treehugger” department of your local grocery store.

5. Pumpkin Butter

Now that it’s officially fall we can all replace our boring toast with this mouth watering combo…. cream cheese and pumpkin butter. It’s like pumpkin cheesecake on your toast. I get my pumpkin butter at Trader Joes (where else) but I’ve seen it various other places as well. I bought the pumpkin cream cheese, and while it’s delicious, it’s just not quite the same as combining the two. Guess I’ll have to find another use for the pumpkin cream cheese, perhaps cheesecake? would be a shame to waste it 🙂

Let me know if you try any of these! I’d love to hear what you think
